Project Manager - Early Years:
£15.00 - £18.00 per hour; Previously proven Project Manager, background in Educational/Children Services Project Management, ability to promote relevant project city wide.
Purpose of Job
To project manage the new 0-7 partnership pilot. The 0-7 partnership pilot is to improve the outcomes for all children 0-7 and narrow the gap between those who do well and those who do not by improving transition and partnership arrangements between parents and settings / agencies and between parents and settings / agencies
Principal Responsibilities
To develop a project plan and ensure its implementation to complete the project by March 2011
To ensure full co-operation and involvement from all stakeholders across multiple partnership areas.
To disseminate the findings of the project locally, regionally and nationally
Main Duties
To ensure that pilot focuses on resolving the issues within the aims of the project which are;
o To raise the quality of provision and the relationship with parents, and to improve outcomes by making better use of the combined talents of the local workforce e.g. through staff sharing, joint training and development, buddying etc.
o To improve the links between settings and services where children move between them in the course of the day or week, so providing better, more accessible and more integrated experience for children and for their parents.
o To improve the arrangements for children transition between settings and services as they progress over time, improving their experiences and outcomes and parental engagement, confidence and ability to navigate the system
To develop training packages to bring together diverse partner agencies and parents.
To develop action learning programmes to share knowledge and understanding between diverse partner agencies and parents
To identify methods of overcoming barriers to close partnership working and information sharing between diverse partner agencies and parents.
To develop systems, protocols and service level agreements to support close partnership working and information sharing between diverse partner agencies and parents
To develop and implement a communication plan for the partnership pilot throughout the lifetime of the project.
To disseminate the learning and systems from the pilot regionally and nationally
To commission and manage an external evaluation of the pilot - therefore providing a strong analysis and capability of consistent monitoring of such a project.
To report regularly to the project board and the multiple partnerships on progress
To maintain a project issues log and risk register
To monitor the pilot budget and ensure spend is in compliance with our clients set spend for the project.
This is a post which will be covering sickness for our client, therefore would be termed as a month-to-month contract and may lead to longer-term work should the capacity be appropriate. This post is therefore suited to a candidate able to start immediately with an ability to work independently and provide evidence of working within similar projects, allowing training and ful planning to be implemented efficiently.
